Science
For our product the weather can affect our sensor if it is too humid that will affect how well the sensor can detect objects. For our product life cycle we are in the introduction stage because we are still developing and do not have a final product.
Technology
To build our product we need an Arduino board which will connect each component of our project. We will be using an ultrasonic sensor to send out a signal and measure the distance between the user and an object in their path. We will also be using a nine volt battery pack to power our final product. We will use a fanny pack to all components except the ultrasonic sensor which will be worn with glasses on the users head.
Engineering
Types of engineering incorporated in our product would be mechanical and electrical. We would need mechanical engineering for the physical building and configuration of each component. Electrical engineering is needed for our product because we will need to have proper wiring that is connected to our Arduino board as well as the sensor, batteries, and bone conduction headphones.
Mathematics
The math needed for our product would be measuring each component to make sure that everything will fit in our design, We will also need to do calculations to measure the field of view of each sensor to make sure they do not overlap. We also need to measure how far the sensors can detect certain objects.
